The goal of this session is to review current practices in high performance programs as a historical perspective and review how these influenced the way in which many of the current models were designed and implemented. With this as a foundational narrative, Dr. Walshe will examine emerging trends in the human factors movement and how these shifts will impact the evolution of the next phase of high performance models in the next 5-10 years . This discussion will introduce the notion of the “human-machine paradox” with its corresponding opportunities for future proofing existing models.
